The stressing jack is important equipment in the construction of prestressed concrete structures, generally a hollow structure, and its main structure includes a tensioning jacket, a piston, and an oil chamber. So do you know how the tension jack works? Let us learn about it.
The working principle of the jack:
When the jack is working, it is placed against the working anchor, the working anchor is installed at the front end of the piston, and the grippers are installed. The oil is pumped into the nozzle through the tension pump, which is driven by the high-pressure oil. The piston moves forward, and under the action of the tooling anchor, the steel beam is driven forward to realize the tension of the steel bundle.
The role of the stressing jack:
In the project, the tie-rod type tension jack is more common. The tie rod type stressing jack uses a piston rod as a tension rod. It is suitable for stretching steel bars and strands with screw anchors or clamps. It is mainly used for single or group prestressing. In-mold pre-tensioning, post-tensioning or self-anchoring. Because of its simple structure and easy operation, it's applied widely.
